The X5S putter is one of 10 separate mallets in the upgraded Phantom X series with new dual milled technology and optimized designs for the 2024 versions.
The new Phantom X 5S putter has stability weighting thanks stepless steel shafts, a new sole design and adjustable sole weights for improved balance.
It differs from the X 5 and X5.5 having been designed with a a straight shaft for a straight-back-and-through putting stroke, with the sister models favouring arced strokes.
Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5S Putter Specs & Design
The X 5S putter features the same two wing design as the X 5 and X 5.5 but has been given a slight makeover from previous versions of this model.
Ideally suited to players with a straight back and through putting stroke, this Scotty Cameron putter has a straight shaft and a milled topline sight line.
The design has been created to help keep the putter square through the stroke over any distance from a testing three footer to a lengthy putt from the other end of the green.
The X 5s is also face balanced with zero offset, has the precision dual milled 303 stainless steel face, the new center-balanced 6061 aluminum sole and stainless steel sole weights.
The X 5s putter also features the new Pistolero Plus grip but there is no new cavity milled cherry dots for alignment in this model due to the centre shaft.
The setup of the putter can be adjusted by the two sole weights which have 2 x 20 grams for the 33-inch version, 2 x 15 grams for the 34-inch version and 2 x 10 grams for the 35-inch version as standard.

The original Phantom X putters were impressive and the 2024 editions have incremental gains thanks to some neat tweaks in the design.
One of the key changes is the dual milled face which now has better feel on the greens, while the weighting has been enhanced in the latest version of the 5S putter too.
This compact mallet is more stable through impact for less face rotation on impact, helping you find the right path for your putts. The centre and straight shaft design offers a great alternative to the other 5 series models.
