The South African made home advantage count as he recorded three-shot victory over compatriot Dean Burmeister to claim his maiden DP World Tour success.

Norris finished on 25-under par at The Club at Steyn City in Johannesburg, South Africa, with a final round of two-under par enough to win the Steyn City Championship.

Norris is no stranger to success having won six times on the Japan Golf Tour in the 2016 Myanmar Open, the 2017 Japan Golf Tour Championship, the 2018 Heiwa PGM Championship, the 2019 Tokai Classic, the 2021 Golf Partner Pro-Am Tournament and the 2021 Japan Open Golf Championship.

He has also been successful on the Asian Tour in the 2015 Yeangder Tournament Players Championship and the Sunshine Tour in the 2008 Africa Open and 2011 Nashua Masters.

The win in the Steyn City Championship moved Norris up from 83 in the world to 65 in the Official World Golf Rankings points.
