TaylorMade Qi4D fairway woods have been launched for 2026 and the successor to the Qi35 series and feature four models – Qi4D, Tour, Max and Max Lite.
TaylorMade unveiled the new Qi4D fairways when used in Rory McIlroy’s bag when he finished runner-up in the 2025 DP World Tour Championship in November.
They were officially launched in January when the full details were revealed, joining the new Qi4D drivers range, rescues and Qi Max and Max HL irons.
Each fairways model shares the same multi‑material DNA but uses different head sizes, new Trajectory Adjustment System sole weights and adjustability to create four clearly defined options.
TaylorMade Qi4D Fairway Woods Specs & Design
The Qi4D fairway is the versatile core model in the series, blending tour-level playability with broad appeal and plenty of forgiveness.
The successor to the standard Qi3D woods, it has a 185cc head size that balances confidence at address with a compact, non-bulky footprint with a neutral-to-draw bias.
The Qi4D has a multi-material construction with a full carbon crown and sole paired with a chromium carbon Twist Face that frees up mass for optimal CG placement.

The new TAS (Trajectory Adjustment System) sole weights feature a single 8g position forward and behind the face in this model and allows flight, spin and swing weight to be adjusted for setup requirements.
Behind the face, the now standard cut-through Speed Pocket ensures low-face strikes maintain explosive ball speeds comparable to cleaner hits.
The sole of the Qi4D has been made slightly flatter in terms of lie angle to promote a more square setup and reduce slices for those who struggle with a right miss.
The Qi4D woods are available in lofts of 3-wood (15 degrees), 3HL-wood (16.5 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees), 7-wood (21 degrees) and 9-wood (24 degrees) with four degrees of loft adjustability from the hosel.
TaylorMade Qi4D Tour Fairways Specs & Design
The tour-preferred model, the Qi4D Tour has a smaller 175cc clubhead with a deeper face profile and is the go-to choice for elite golfers seeking shot-shaping options at the top of the bag.
The Qi4D Tour is designed to deliver penetrating ball flights, long distances, workability and high speeds for low-handicappers who treat fairway woods as precision irons from distance.
In this model, TaylorMade have positioned 65g of tungsten behind the impact zone to help lower spin levels without sacrificing launch – and the result in piercing trajectory for distance especially in windy conditions.

A titanium face boosts COR and feel versus the steel-faced siblings, and the Twist Face technology provides forgiveness to create a tighter dispersion of results whether used of a tee peg or fairway.
It is in the adjustability where the Tour excel with three TAS weight ports on the redesigned sole – a stock 15g rear weight and two 4g weights positioned in heel and toe respectively.
That set up can be customized by positioning the 15g weight in the heel for draw bias or in the toe for fade bias.
The Qi4D Tour woods are available in lofts of 3-wood (15 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees) and 7-wood (21 degrees) for the first time with four degrees of loft adjustability from the hosel.
TaylorMade Qi4D Max Fairway Woods Specs & Design
The Qi4D Max is the most forgiving model in the series and to best option to suit higher handicap golfers needs most assistance in their long game.
At 200cc, the oversized clubhead maximizes MOI through perimeter weighting and a rear-biased CG for a high launch and minimal sidespin regardless of where the impact takes place on the face.
Twist face technology is retained from the Qi35 Max and the tweaked curvature design helps straighten toe and heel contacts while preserving 95%+ of center-hit speeds

The enlarged footprint of the multi-material constructed Qi4D Max inspires confidence from the deck or tee box, including via the V-Steel sole design in this model which glides effortlessly at impact.
The Qi4D Max features a single rear 8g TAS weight to help send the MOI and CG deep and add stability, which the high launch delivers improved carry distances up to 220+ yards on 3-wood strikes.
Also present in the design in TaylorMade’s Speed Pocket behind the face to reduces spin on shots struck low on the face and maintain ball speed.
The Qi4D Max woods are available in lofts of 3-wood (15 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees), 7-wood (21 degrees) and 9-wood (24 degrees). There is four degrees of loft adjustability from the hosel in the 3-wood and 5-wood only.
TaylorMade Qi4D Max Lite Woods Specs & Design
The Max Lite returns to the 2026 model as a lightweight option design to suit golfers with slow-swing speeds.
It has the same 200cc clubhead as the Max, but has been made lighter in a number of design areas to save maximum weight and help boost swing speed by 2-4 mph for moderate swingers.
Compared to Max, the Max Lite uses a 4g rear TAS weight (half of the sister amount), an ultralight shaft and a lightweight grip as part of the weight savings.

The sole weight is located in the rear of the club head to help deliver a high launch and increase the MOI and forgiveness on offer from the Max Lite.
The multi-material construction include carbon crown and titanium face and Twist Face technology provides consistent ball striking as well as impressive ball speeds.
Like the other models, the Max Lite also features new and improved Speed Pocket behind the face to maintain ball speed on shots struck low on the face.
The Qi4D Max Lite woods are available in lofts of 3-wood (15 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees), 7-wood (21 degrees) and 9-wood (24 degrees). There is four degrees of loft adjustability from the hosel in the 3-wood and 5-wood only.
TaylorMade Qi4D Woods Review: Are they any good?
There’s a lot to like about the new Qi4D range of fairways with each of the four models catering for the requirements of all golfers.
The core model is the all-rounder with a neat draw-bias producing long and straight shots from all lies, while the Tour option is the choice for better golfers seeking workability.
If forgiveness is what you are after, the Max – with it’s oversized head – is what you should be looking at with this the ideal choice for mid-to-high handicappers. The Max Lite, meanwhile, is a lightweight option for slow-swing speed golfers.
This is the most complete family TaylorMade has produced for fairways, blending tour-level workability with game-improvement forgiveness.
