The TaylorMade Spider GT Rollback Putter is one of four brand new models released for 2022. How good is the half-moon classic mallet design?
TaylorMade have taken the technological advances that made the previous Spiders so successful, and incorporated them into a mallet shape putter head that will have widespread appeal.
What TaylorMade says about the Spider GT Rollback putter:
“Spider GT blends traditional shaping with contemporary construction. The classic half-moon mallet is enhanced by a heavy tungsten rollbar for added perimeter weighting and increased stability.
“The defining feature of Spider GT Rollback is an arched top design that makes alignment easy and helps golfers visualize the path of the putting stroke.
“Crafted from anodized aluminum for both a premium look and increased durability, it is available in two distinct finishes.
“Silver/Black with a single stripe provides contrasting color alignment, while the silver model uses three lines for aim and path.
“This is the first Spider to feature an 80g tungsten rollbar. Positioned along the perimeter of the putter, this added weight is designed to produce more forgiveness and stability, allowing Spider GT Rollback to remain extremely stable on off-center strikes.”
