Titleist CNCPT Irons Review

The Titleist CNCPT irons are the most advanced – and impressive – yet with no stone left unturned. But you will need a healthy bank balance to buy them.

The CNCPT irons, which comes in two design options with the Titleist CP-01 and Titleist CP-02 irons, “are designed to be the finest irons you’ve ever played” and that is certainly the case.

Costing around $7500 or £7500 for seven irons, the CNCPT irons will be beyond the price tag of the vast majority of golfers. If you can afford them, though, you will be purchasing a thing of beauty.

What Titleist say about the CNCPT irons:

“Two unprecedented iron designs from Titleist that stand as testament to the power of grand ambition. Each a product of ingenious engineers given unlimited means.

Titleist CNCPT Irons

“Visually articulated with equal imagination, to produce the world’s most satisfying ball-striking experience. With an ultra-thin face – measured and remeasured to ensure perfect uniformity – made possible through the use of a rare, super strong alloy never before used in club manufacturing.

“To put it simply, we’ve never seen the ball come off the face of an iron faster. Engineered to produce higher launch, greater distance and the most generous impact possible, with high density tungsten making up nearly 50% of the total head weight in the lower lofts.

“CNCPT are designed to be the finest irons you’ve ever played.”

The CNCPT irons are based on the C-16 iron, but Titleist have taken things to the next level after putting no limit on cost, material or engineering development in the new irons.

The Titleist CP-01 and Titleist CP-02 irons are the result with both having the thinnest face in any golf club. Titleist having constructed it from a super strong alloy never before used in any manufacturing process.

The club heads are crafted from a high-density tungsten and the light weight has allowed Titleist to produce a higher launch angle from both the CP-01 and CP-02 irons and extract more distance.

The difference between the two designs aren’t huge, but the CP-01 has a slightly larger club head and is more forgiving than the CP-02.

The CP-01 irons provide “supreme speed” and a slightly higher launch compared to the more compact CP-02 irons, which have more of a blade like design.

The Titleist CP-01 irons are available in 4-iron to PW. A 3-iron is an additional option in the CP-02 range.

CNCPT Irons Verdict

If money is no object, then the Titleist CNCPTs are irons you should be considering trying.

At around £500/$500 per irons, you will probably want to take them to bed with you and sleep with them!

Both the CP-01 and CP-02 are impressive irons, having been manufactured to the highest of standards, and are the best product to come off the Titleist production line. They are just too pricey for most golfers.
