Vice Drive Golf Balls Review (TWO-Piece Budget Ball)

Vice Drive Golf Balls Review

Vice Drive golf balls are a budget model aimed at newcomers, beginners and golfers with medium to slow swing speed. How does the two-piece ball perform?

A budget two-piece low compression ball, the Drive is designed to provide long distance with good control at a low-cost price point.

Similar in construction to the Titleist Tour Soft, the Vice Drive ball stands up well to more illustrious brands and performs better than the price tag suggests.

We tested the ball to see what the performance is like, the distances generated off the tee, reactions around the greens and how it putted on the greens.

Vice Drive Golf Balls Design & Features

The Vice Drive is a two-piece construction designed and engineered for occasional and beginner golfers with low to medium clubhead speeds.

The ball features low compression for a softer feel and long distance, is tough and cut resistant and is incredibly durable.

The Energy Speed Core (ESC) layer of the ball has been improved in the latest version to help deliver increased ball speeds and reduce the spin levels off the driver face.

It has worked well with the Drive ball providing more carry distance and overall distance off the tee for the mid-handicap and high-handicap golfers who need it most.

The outer layer is a thin DuPont Surlyn cover featuring a 312 large dimple pattern, which Vice’s development team believe produces a more stable ball flight.

Available in white, the Drive balls feature a new KIL (Keep In Line) alignment aid with the line lengthened to help putting consistency.

Vice Drive Golf Balls Review: Are they any good?

The Vice Drive is one of the best two-piece balls on the market and the performance is better than you might expect for something in this price range.

It is solid off the tee, offering plenty of distance and a higher ball flight than the previous version, and offers plenty of control around the green and with approach play.

It isn’t suited to lower handicap golfers or those with fast swing speeds. If that’s you, you are better off looking at the Vice Pro range. However, if you fit the low-to-medium swing speed, this is an impressive option.
