Vice Pro Air Golf Balls Review (NEW 2024 Model)

Vice Pro Air Golf Balls Review

Vice Pro Air golf balls are the newest model added to the range with the 2024 addition introduced for golfers with low-to-mid swing speeds.

The new recruit to the Vice golf balls range, the Pro Air joins the Pro and Pro Plus as one of the leading options. But the Pro Air is specifically aimed at golfers who struggle to generate club head speed.

The three-layer Vice Pro Air has been designed to maximize distance while preserving control and feel and does so by offering the lowest spin levels within the Pro family, ensuring greater distance.

With a higher launch angle and reduced spin, Vice have managed to find the balance between distance and precision for golfers who need it most due to a lack of clubhead speed.

Vice Pro Air Golf Balls Design & Features

The Pro Air model is the third member of the Pro family, joining the elite Pro and Pro Plus as an option for golfers seeking exceptional distance without sacrificing control.

This version has been tailored to adapt to various swing speeds, but particularly excels with golfers who have lower to medium swing speeds.

The Pro Air has a three-layer design including a Cast Urethane cover, which is notably the thinnest in its class for superior control and spin in the short game.

The middle layer, a zinc ionomer thermoplastic DuPont Surlyn grade mantle, is designed to reduce wood and long iron spin to help maximize distance.

The core, meanwhile, features a size-optimized High Energy Speed Core (HESC) with lower compression to enhance the feel at slower swing speeds and efficiently translate swing speed into distance.

It is the compression rating of 75 that makes this model most suited to low to medium swing speeds as it enhances distance without sacrificing feel.

The 318 dimple pattern of the ball has been created to improve aerodynamic efficiency compared to other balls in the Vice range, and promoted better flight and performance.

The balls are available in five different colours: white, neon lime, neon pink, drip red and black and drip petrol yellow. They all feature the Vice alignment aid line.

Vice Pro Air Golf Balls Review: Are they any good?

There is no doubting that the Pro Air fills an important gap in Vice’s range of options, providing a relatively premium performance with the benefits that mid-to-higher handicap golfers need.

For golfers with low-to-mid swing speeds, the Vice Pro Air helps add distance in the long game while maintaining control in the shorter irons.

We found that the lower spin profile is what helps generate longer drives and the higher launch angles allow the ball to descend sharply into the green for much better drop and stop performance.

The Cast Urethane cover is durable, so expect these to last as long as you can keep them in play.

What Vice says about the Pro Air balls:

“The Vice Pro Air is our answer to one of the biggest problems in amateur golf: How to optimize distance while maintaining control in the short game and overall feel?

“With the lowest spin in the Vice Pro ball family, it produces the best distance.

“Due to a slightly higher launch angle, the ball achieves a relatively steep landing angle in the short game which is perfect for maintaining control in the approach even with lower spin rates.

Vice Pro Air Golf Balls

“The Vice Pro Air is perfect for golfers with lower to medium swing speeds, providing exceptional distance while retaining control.

“Yet, even for those with higher swing speeds, there’s no limitation – it remains a top choice for maximizing distance.

“The feel is even softer than that of the Vice Pro. If you enjoyed the feeling of our Vice Pro Soft in the past you will like this one even more as we doubled down on feeling with this one.

“Created with a meticulously designed 318 dimple pattern structure that works to enhance the aerodynamic performance of the ball during flight to give you an edge on the course.”
