Lilia Vu: What’s In The Bag

Lilia Vu What's In The Bag

Lilia Vu claimed her fourth victory of 2023 when landing the title at the ANNIKA by Gainbridge in November 2023. A look at Lilia Vu: What’s In The Bag.

The world number one’s breakout year continued as she recorded a three-shot victory in the ANNIKA by Gainbridge at Pelican Golf Club.

Vu finished on 19-under par and her success over Alison Lee and Azahara Munoz made it four wins this year including two of the five majors.

Just two months after winning the LPGA Thailand in February for her breakthrough win on the LPGA Tour, Vu underlined her growing reputation by taking the title at the Chevron Championship.

At the first of the year’s five women’s majors over the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at The Woodlands in Texas, Vu finished on 10-under par along with fellow American Angel Yin.

At the first extra hole of a play-off, Vu’s birdie on the par-5 18th hole earned her victory in the Chevron Championship before she did the winners’ leap into the pond.

Vu then recorded a stunning six shot victory over Charley Hull in the AIG Women’s Open at Walton Heath, finishing on 14-under par after a closing round of five-under.

Vu first emerged in 2021 when winning three times on the Symetra Tour with victories at Garden City Charity Classic, the Twin Bridges Championship and the Four Winds Invitational.

She finished top of the Order of Merit as a result and earned her LPGA Tour status for 2022.

Vu remains world number one in the Rolex Rankings for the World Women’s Golf Standings.
