The event is played at the Corales Golf Club at the Puntacana Resort and Club in the Dominican Republic, and is the part of the 2025 PGA Tour season.
Taking place on the same weekend as the RBC Heritage, it attracts a field made up of PGA Tour players and Korn Ferry Tour players.
The Corales Puntacana Championship was first held in 2016 as a then Web.com Tour event for the first two years. It was then elevated to PGA Tour status in 2018.
Billy Horschel is the reigning champion after winning the event in 2024.
Previous champions include Nate Lashley, Graeme McDowell, Hudson Swafford, Joel Dahmen, Chad Ramey and Matt Wallace.
