The event is played at the Corales Golf Club at the Puntacana Resort and Club in the Dominican Republic, and is the part of the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and Korn Ferry Tour.
The Corales Puntacana Championship was first held in 2016 as a then Web.com Tour event for the first two years. It was then elevated to PGA Tour status in 2018.
Taking place on the same weekend as the 2026 Open Championship, it moves to June from an April date in 2025 when Garrick Higgo was crowned champion.
Previous champions include Nate Lashley, Graeme McDowell, Hudson Swafford, Joel Dahmen, Chad Ramey, Matt Wallace and Billy Horschel.
