The Open de France was first formed in 1906 as a national championship and has been part of the DP World Tour since 1972 with the exception of 2020 and 2021.
For the 2026 DP World Tour season, the French Open returns to Le Golf National in Paris having moved across the capital to Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Breteche last year.
Michael Kim is the reigning champion after winning the tournament in 2025, and he will defend the title in a strong field of betting odds favourites for the 2026 Open de France.

The Open de France golf will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Le Golf National. There is a cut after the opening two rounds.

- Day 4 – Sunday, September 27
The Open de France carries a prize fund of $3,750,000.
