The three new irons are the AI Smoke, AI Smoke HL and AI Smoke Max Fast, and they join the existing Paradym irons to help cover the needs of all types of golfers.

The irons come with the promised of being longer and with a much tighter dispersion, but are they more accurate? We test them to see how each model performs and whether they are among the best irons for 2024.

Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Irons Specs & Design

The AI Smoke is the standard model in the range with a range of innovative technologies providing more distance and accuracy than the original Paradym.

The new iron has been created using the AI Smart Face technology, which has produced multiple sweet spots to maintain ball speeds even for poor consistency in ball striking.

They are an extremely forgiving iron with hollow-body construction and longer blade lengths for a more confidence-inspiring look at address.

The AI Smokes also have a thinner topline and optimizes sole design with a pre-worn leading edge included and a variable bounce through the bag for better turf interaction.

Suited to golfers with average to faster swing speeds, they are ideal for high ball flights with strong lofts helping to eek out additional distance from an improved trajectory.

The AI Smoke irons are sold from 4-iron (19 degrees) to Sand Wedge (54 degrees) with the longer irons having a quarter inch additional length on the shaft.

Callaway Paradym AI Smoke HL Irons Specs & Design

A new addition, the AI Smoke HL is a “high launch” version in the series and designed for golfers looking for more carry distance in their game.

This version of the irons has a deep cavity back design and is best suited to golfers with slow to average swing speeds who tend to have a lower ball flight with existing irons.

A high ball flight is produced as a result of a low and deep center of gravity from the cavity back.

Offering the most forgiveness across the entire range, the game improving irons have longer blade lengths and optimised sole for all round performance.

The Smart Face technology has helped improve accuracy significantly and a much tighter dispersion on shots throughout the bag thanks to multiple sweet spots on the face.

In the HL model, the longer irons are half-an-inch longer with lofts ranging from 4-iron (21 degrees) to Sand Wedge (55 degrees).

Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Max Fast Irons Specs & Design

Just like the Max Fast driver, the irons have been introduced as a lightweight option for golfers with slower than average swing speeds.

Designed with a light 40g shaft to help golfers increase their swing and balls speeds, Callaway have come up with an incredibly forgiving yet long option.

The Max Fast is similar to the HL irons with a deep cavity back design, perimeter tungsten weighting and deliver a high ball flight (the highest in the range) for more carry distance.

The AI Smart Face technology in a key design element Callaway’s team coming up with multiple sweet spots in this model too for added forgiveness and more consistency.

The dynamic sole design is also present in the Max Fast with a pre-worn element and variable bounce for better turf interaction regardless of the lie.

The Max Fast has the weakest lofts of the range with irons available from 5-iron (25 degrees) to Sand Wedge (56 degrees).

Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Irons Review: Are they any good?

Callaway have come up with another impressive range of irons with the launch of the AI Smoke range. Building on the existing Paradym model, they have found more distance.

The irons aren’t just about adding more length to your game though, because the new Smart Face technology has helped make these three models even more accurate.

With the face technology introduced adding multiple sweet spots, you will find your distances and speed remain at the same level regardless of where you strike the ball out of.

They look set for a bright future in 2024 with distance gains and more consistency almost guaranteed with the AI Smoke’s in the bag.
