Honma TW757 Woods Review

Launched as part of a new 2022 series along with the TW757 driver, hybrids and irons, the new fairways are an impressive new addition to the market.

Honma have worked hard on perfecting the weight and the combination of stainless steel body and carbon crown have allowed for high launching, low spinning woods that offer exceptional distance vs the TW747.

In our review of the TW757 fairways, we take a look at the design elements and how they combine to be the best woods Honma have produced yet.

Honma TW757 Woods Specs & Design

The Honma TW757 fairway woods are designed to cater for both seasoned golfers and those looking to improve their game with an all-round package in the latest model.

Honma have focused heavily on creating a low-CG (Center of Gravity) design by saving maximum weight in the combined stainless steel face with carbon crown and positioned mass in a back weight.

The low center of gravity and back weight helps produce a high-launching ball flight for maximum carry distances to extract every yard possible out of the fairways.

The incorporation of a 455-steel cup face design in the TW757 helps enhance ball speed, which is a seriously high initial ball speed, and keep spin levels low to help maximize distances.

The Sole Slot, which is positioned behind the face, also plays a significant role is producing the high launch angle of the woods and faster ball speeds

The TW757 fairway woods also feature an effective Vertical Rib clubface, which is designed to maintain ball speeds on mishits from both the upper and lower parts of the clubface.

The woods are available in 3-wood (15 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees) and 7-wood (21 degrees). They are non-adjustable.

What Honma says about the TW757 fairway woods:

“The low-CG design, stainless steel body and carbon crown combine to generate high launch. The cup face helps increase initial ball speed.

“Yields strong trajectory with high initial ball speed, high launch and low spin – due to the synergistic effect of the sole slot and back weight.

Honma TW757 Woods

“The most effective vertical slot clubface for mishits from the upper and lower clubface – maintaining initial ball speed and increasing repulsion power across a wide area of the clubface.

“The crown is thick and thin in strategic locations (in the 5-wood and 7-wood) to save weight and enhance rebound effect.

“The optimal internal weight position on the sole lowers CG, achieving strong trajectory with high launch and low spin.”
