Rahm’s Augusta run to victory started with a four-putt double bogey, but it didn’t matter as he triumphed by four shots from Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson.
A three-under par final round at Augusta saw Rahm finish on 12-under par for the week to win the famous Augusta Green Jacket for winning the Masters.
It was extra special for Rahm as it came on what would have been hero and two-time Masters champion Seve Ballesteros’ birthday.
His second major victory, having already won his first major at the 2021 US Open at Torrey Pines, meant that Rahm returned to world number one in the Official World Golf Rankings.
It was his fourth title of the year after victories in the Tournament of Champions, The American Express and Genesis Invitational in 2023.
