“A rounded silhouette shape, allows the blade to be opened up easily without impacting alignment, meaning you can play a variety of shots with each loft from the 46° pitching wedge to 62° lob wedge.

“Narrower and deeper Quad Cut Grooves in the stronger lofts are more beneficial on full shots, while wider and shallower grooves in the higher lofts maximise performance on partial shots.

“Each head is Grain Flow Forged from a single billet of 1025 steel for incredible feel, distance control and short-game performance.”

Mizuno S18 Wedges Design

The rounded silhouette shape of the club head is a new design feature of the S18 wedges from the S5 model that it replaces.

Quad Cut Grooves in the wedges are deep and narrow, which helps to provide extra loft on full-powered shots. The wide, shallow grooves compensate for less powerful swings.

The open blade makes for a smooth transition through the ball on turfs of varying length, making the S18 wedges an ideal choice from fairway, rough or sand traps.

A ‘Loft Specific’ centre of gravity has been introduced across the range of wedges, which start at 46 degrees through to 62 degrees with eight different loft options. Quad Cut Grooves are present in 54 degrees to 62 degrees.

Individually Grain Forged club heads are made from 1025 steel, which improves the longevity of the grooves. The wedges are also available in steel, blue and gun metal finishes.
