Morgane Metraux: What’s In The Bag

Morgane Metraux ended the wait for a Swiss winner on the Ladies European Tour when winning the Ladies Italian Open in June 2022. A look at Morgane Metraux: What’s In The Bag.

Metraux, who’s sister Kim also plays on tour and finished seventh in the Italian Open, created history as the first Swiss player to win on the LET as she won a three-way play-off at Golf Club Margara.

The 25-year-old birdied three of the last four holes to finish on 10-under-par for the week and in a tie with Meghan Maclaren and Italian amateur Alessandra Fanali.

Metraux sunk a 20-foot eagle putt to win the play-off after both Maclaren and Fanali had holed birdies.

Metraux turned professional in 2018 but sat out all of 2019 due to a shoulder injury. She returned the following year and got her first victory on the Symetra Tour when winning the Island Resort Championship in June 2021.

The victory earned Metraux her LPGA Tour card for 2022.
