South African Strydom, a regular on the Sunshine Tour, recorded his breakthrough DP World Tour success in the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek Country Club in his homeland in December.

Strydom doubled that tally when coming out on top in the Singapore Classic with his stunning nine-under par final round sealing a one-shot victory at Laguna National Golf Resort Club.

The South African came from well off the pace to defeat Sami Valimaki by a shot as the third round leaders fell away in Singapore.

Strydom had finished runner-up 19 times on the DP World Tour before winning the Alfred Dunhill Championship with a tournament record 18-under.

His only previous win as a professional came in 2019 Origins of Golf tournament on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa.

Prior to his win in Singapore, Strydom was ranked 253rd in the Official World Golf Rankings.
