New Ping G440 hybrids have been launched for 2025 as the successor to the G430 models with more forgiveness and distance unleashed.
The G440 hybrids are part of a complete new range featuring drivers, fairway woods and irons that launched in January 2025.
Ping have managed to improve on the performance of the G430 hybrids thanks to a number of weight saving, including from the new free hosel design, to lower the CG and deliver a higher launch and more accuracy.
A redesigned face that is thinner, shallower and taller promoted increased ball speeds from the previous version and produces impressive distance gains.
Ping G440 Hybrids Specs & Design
Ping have made some notable changes to the design of the G430 hybrids to improve launch, carry, distance and forgiveness in this 2025 release.
One of the key design tweaks is a redesigned face, which now has an 8% shallower and 6% thinner face to promote higher launches and increased ball speed.
The CarbonFly Wrap synonymous with Ping metal woods is retained as a carry over from the G430 series, but has been made lighter to contribute to overall weight savings.

Those savings have helped lower the center of gravity (CG) by 12% compared to the previous version, with a multi-material head design and the new Free-Hosel also helping enhance launch and stopping power.
The hybrids have an improved sole design featuring a slimmer back-weight profile which gives consistent face angle regardless of loft or lie settings.
The G440s are available in 2-Hybrid (17 degrees), 3-Hybrid (19 degrees), 4-Hybrid (22 degrees), 5-Hybrid (26 degrees), 6-Hybrid (30 degrees) and 7-Hybrid (34 degrees).

Ping’s Trajectory Tuning technology provides a lightweight, eight-position hosel for loft adjustments.
Ping G440 Hybrids Review: Are they any good?
The G430 rescues were very impressive performances, just as the G425 hybrids were. Now the 2025 newcomer adds even more benefits to your game.
The G440 hybrids have been made lighter thanks to the free hosel design and thinner face with Ping’s desire to lower the CG the key goal with these rescues.
They have achieved it too, improving the launch and control on offer. You can expect a towering ball flight, greater stopping power from distance and more distance and accuracy too.
