PXG 0311 GEN5 Woods Specs & Features

With this innovative new series, PXG launched two separate models, the X, and XF, to allow golfers to highlight areas on their swing and produce more consistent and quality shots.

The design of the GEN5 fairways has three particular features that separate the two versions on the market: the head shape, the sole shape, and the clubface.

The head of the woods is very slightly different between models but delivers results that compliment your targeted swing.

The 0311 X targets an audience looking for low spin, while the 0311 XF is best suited to mid spin.

Both offer an increase in MOI, a whopping 30% increase over the previous generation of woods from PXG.

The design of this PXG’s sole has been built around controlling the clubhead’s center of gravity and stabilising overall forgiveness.

The 0311 X’s “flat sole” redistributes weight to the outside of the club to make it more forgiving while pushing the center of gravity down to make solid contact easier.

With the 0311 XF, a “railed sole geometry” carries the same benefits as the flat sole in the 0311 X, but it is intended for golfers with a steeper swing path.

When it comes to club face, the 0311 X offers a square design meant to provide a greater surface area on the face of the club for contact to occur. This additional surface area increases forgiveness which benefits golfers of all levels.

The 0311 XF takes this to the next level by increasing the overall size of the clubface. The additional coverage creates a bigger sweet spot, while maintaining a forgiving result.

The GEN5 fairway woods are available in 2-wood (13 degrees), 3-wood (15 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees) and 7-wood (21 degrees) with an adjustable hosel providing plus or minus 1.5 degrees.

The GEN5 XF fairway woods are available in 3-wood (16 degrees), 4-wood (17 degrees), 5-wood (19 degrees) and 7-wood (22 degrees) options.
