Gooch had endured a drought on LIV Golf since winning the Spanish event exactly two years earlier, but rediscovered his form at Real Club Valderrama.
The American finished on eight-under par in the 2025 LIV Golf Andalucia event, one clear of home favourites Jon Rahm in southern Spain.
Gooch became the first player to win three LIV Golf events when landing the title at LIV Golf Valderrama in July 2023, but went winless in two subsequent years.
He had already scored victories on LIV Golf in Adelaide and Singapore prior to that 2023 victory at Valderrama.
Prior to making the move to LIV Golf in 2022, Gooch claimed his only PGA Tour win when triumphing at the 2021 RSM Classic.
He had graduated from the Web.com Tour, now known as the Korn Ferry Tour, with his achievements including success at the 2017 News Sentinel Open.
