His latest win in Spain came by one shot from Bryson DeChambeau as he added the LIV Golf Valderrama title to victories in Adelaide and Singapore.
Gooch stunned the field in Australia in April with back-to-back 10-under par rounds of 62 at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide to lead LIV Golf Adelaide by 10 shots after two rounds.
The American carded a one-over par final round, but his dominance of the first two days was enough to claim a three-shot victory over Anirban Lahiri.
Gooch then followed up that victory seven days later in LIV Golf Singapore at Sentosa Golf Club after winning a play-off with Sergio Garcia.
The pair finished on 17-under par, one clear of Brooks Koepka, before Gooch got the upper hand in the play-off and became the first player to win successive LIV Golf events.
Prior to making the move to LIV Golf in 2022, Gooch claimed his only PGA Tour win when triumphing at the 2021 RSM Classic.
He had graduated from the Web.com Tour, now known as the Korn Ferry Tour, with his achievements including success at the 2017 News Sentinel Open.
