TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Rescues Review (NEW Hybrid for 2023)

TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Rescues

A sister model to the TaylorMade Stealth 2 rescues, the Stealth 2 Plus is also new for 2023 and aimed at better players seeking workability with forgiveness.

Part of the new Stealth 2 family of drivers and woods, the rescues feature the Stealth, Stealth HB and Stealth Plus and are the successors to the popular series launched at the start of 2022.

The new Stealth 2 Plus hybrids differ from the Stealth and Stealth HB models thanks to a more refined and compact Tour-inspired shape to provide more shot making and workable options in the bag.

We take a look at the changes made to the Stealth 2 model, what you can expect if adding them to the bag and if they are worth upgrading to from the original Stealth rescues.

TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Hybrids Specs & Design

The Stealth 2 rescues are the successor to the Stealth Plus hybrids with TaylorMade making tweaks to improve the workability, shot shaping options and the forgiveness too.

The carbon construction remains the key element to the Stealth 2 rescues to create an incredibly light rescue, with the crown now a more refined shape in the latest design.

Weight has been saved further to allow the CG to move lower than the Stealth for an improved launch angle and reduced spin rates off the face.

The Stealth 2 hybrid also now features a mass pad of weight positioned at the rear of the club head to increase the MOI in the model and add more forgiveness.

The ball flight is honed further thanks the the heavy V steel sole design remaining on the sole of the club.

The hybrids once again feature a high strength C300 steel Twist Face Technology face, the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket behind the face and tweaked Inverted Cone Technology for more speed from across the face.

Verdict: Are TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Rescues any good?

TaylorMade have overhauled the Stealth rescues, but instead have made well-thought out tweaks to the design of the Stealth 2 Plus.

You get a more compact clubhead and shape, new and improved technology to make the face more forgiving and faster and the ability to shape balls more effectively.

The Stealth 2 provide more options in terms of lofts, but the Plus model is the ideal choice for lower-handicap golfers looking for workability in their long game.
