Titleist GT hybrids have been unveiled with three new models for 2025 with the launch of the GT1, GT2 and GT3. How do they rate vs the TSR rescues?
The three new designs were first revealed in December 2024 and officially launched in January 2025 when full details of the models were revealed.
The GT hybrids replace the TSR rescues and join the series of GT drivers and fairway woods, which were launched in mid-2024 to great success.
Titleist have improved forgiveness, stability and customization in the GT range, including significant MOI gains, new dual weight system for optimized launch and spin and more adjustability across the series.
Titleist GT1 Hybrids Specs & Design
The GT1 rescues replace the TSR1 hybrid model, which was a late addition to the previous generation as Titleist move into the game-improving sector.
The TSR1 was designed for golfers with slower swing speeds and that is case once again from GT1, which is ultralight with weight savings compared to the GT2 and GT3.
The GT1 hybrids have a larger head than the other models but are kept lightweight in construction to ensure maximum speed through the air to aid the type of golfer they are aimed at.

The GT1 hybrid features a heavier weight positioned in the rear to deepen the center of gravity (CG), enhancing stability and forgiveness (5% increase over the TSR1) and generating a higher launch than any other model.
The new dual-weight system also includes a front weight behind the face in the GT1 with forward-aft adjustability in this model for maximum setup options.
The new Thermoform Crown design features perimeter weighting for a high MOI as well as flatter leading edges improve turf interaction and maximize distances.
The GT1 model is available in 20 degrees, 23 degrees, 26 degrees and 29 degrees and features Titleist’s SureFit Adjustability hosel.
Titleist GT2 Hybrids Specs & Design
The new GT2 hybrids replace the TSR2 and has been given a significant makeover when it comes to sole weighting and setup.
Titleist have opted to move the adjustable weights to the heel and toe locations in the GT2 rescues compared to the TSR2, which had just a single weight behind the face.
The new heel-toe weights provide new levels of adjustability for optimized CG placement, increasing MOI by a notable 10% over the TSR2 version and making it the highest in the lineup.

This model still has an extended blade length for maximum confidence at address, and a sweet spot further away from the face than in previous versions.
The GT2 also has a flatter leading edge to the Thermoform Crown design for improving turf interaction and playability. This design allows the club to sit more flush to the ground and provides a cleaner strike, especially from tight lies.
The hybrids come with Titleist’s SureFit Adjustability hosel allowing for customisation and are available in lofts of 18 degrees, 21 degrees and 24 degrees.
Titleist GT3 Hybrids Specs & Design
The GT3 hybrids are the successor to the TSR3 rescues and have the most compact clubhead of the three models in the series – 6% smaller in profile that the previous version.
Best for skilled players who prefer a compact, iron-like profile, they offer workability, lower launch and shot-shaping control while maintaining forgiveness.
Titleist have removed the five-position SureFit Adjustable CG Track System that was used in the TSR3 and instead opted for heel and toe weighting in this new model.

The heel and toe adjustable weights allow for optimized CG placement with setup options of positioning a heavier weight in each of the sole slots.
Perimeter weighting changes has allowed Titleist to increase the MOI by 15% increase over the TSR3, the most of any of the three models.
Like the other versions, the GT3s have a flatter sole shape for a more flush lie that produces cleaner ball striking and maximizes distances wherever used from.
The GT3 model is expected to be available in 19 degrees, 21 degrees and 24 degrees lofts with three degrees of adjustability.
Titleist GT Hybrids Review: Are they any good?
Titleist’s TSR range has been given a makeover when it comes to sole weighting in the new GT models with improved forgiveness and control looking like the key.
The most interesting switch is in the GT2 and GT3, which both now feature heel and toe weights for a better overall setup including the ditching of the SureFit Adjustable CG Track System from the latter.
The gradual clubhead size design from the largest GT1 to the compact GT3 ensures there is an option for every level of golfer across the series.
The overall package that the GT series offers is impressive, building on the popularity of the TSR range by adding more distance and accuracy.
