The LIV Golf tour star hadn’t won in almost two-and-a-half years but made a late year trip to Hong Kong a winning one with a dominant seven shot success.
McKibbin started the 2025 Hong Kong Open with a stunning round of 60 and led from wire-to-wire as he ended seven shots clear of Peter Uihlein in the Asian Tour event.
McKibbin swapped the DP World Tour for LIV Golf in 2025, joining Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII team. He has been a Callaway golfer since signing an equipment deal in 2024.
In his rookie season on the DP World Tour in 2023, McKibbin secured a two-shot win in the Porsche European Open at Green Eagle Golf Courses Nord Course.
The Northern Irishman, who hails from Holywood – the same place as Rory McIlroy, carded a three-under par final round to defeat German pair Marcel Siem and Max Kieffer and Frenchman Julien Guerrier by two shots.
McKibbin turned professional in April 2021 and his only previous victory came in a Minor League Golf Tour event in January 2022.
