Tommy Fleetwood ended his wait for a PGA Tour victory when winning the Tour Championship in August and claimed the DP World India Championship in October 2025. A look at Tommy Fleetwood: What’s In The Bag.
Fleetwood had failed to win in 163 PGA Tour starts, including two narrow misses already in 2025, but finally came good with victory in the season-ending event.
He won the 2025 Tour Championship by three shots from Russell Henley and Patrick Cantlay, and in doing so also won the FedEx Cup which had started with an even handicap for all players this year.
After also being part of the winning European team at the 2025 Ryder Cup, Fleetwood claimed another victory with a two-shot victory over Keita Nakajima in the 2025 DP World India Championship.
Before his 2025 successes, Fleetwood’s previous win came back in January 2024 when he edged Rory McIlroy and Thirston Lawrence to claim the inaugural Dubai Invitational.
The first of Fleetwood’s eight DP World Tour wins came in the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles in 2013.
He won twice in 2017 in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and Open de France before defending his title in the former of the two in 2018.
Another title followed in the Nedbank Golf Challenge in 2019 before a three-year wait for another victory when successfully defending the crown on the event’s return to the calendar in 2022.
