The Callaway Elyte drivers series is new for 2025 with four models launched – the Elyte, Elyte X, Elyte Max Fast and Elyte Triple Diamond.
The driver series is the successor to the AI Smoke drivers that debuted in 2024, and Callaway are making the promise that the 2025 Elyte model us is up to eight yards longer across the range.
The four drivers, which are to be joined by a new mini driver, fairway woods, hybrids and Elyte irons, have been given their name from Callaway founded Ely and feature a range of changes and new technologies.
Those changes include refined shaping, a new Ai 10x face and what is being described as a “revolutionary” Thermoforged Carbon Crown for optimal weighting.
They join the Ping G440 drivers range, TaylorMade Qi35 drivers series and Cobra DS-ADAPT drivers as new 2025 launches, and take a look at the specifics of each of the four Callaway models.

Callaway Elyte Driver Specs & Design
The Elyte is the standard model of the four options and replaces the AI Smoke Max as the all-rounder of the quartet of options.
The big change in the new model is the introduction of a new Thermoforged Carbon crown, which is constructed from an aerospace grade carbon fiber.
The switch has allowed Callaway to reshape the clubhead in this Elyte driver and move the CG location to produce lower spin rates and a high launch for maximum carry and up to eight more yards of distance.

It is all about adjustability in this model with Callaway replacing the sliding track of the AI Smoke Max and replacing it with a 13g adjustable rear weight that slots into a choice of three ports.
The driver can still be set to Neutral, Fade or Draw bias options but the process of changing setup has been made simpler with the weight moved manually rather than via the slider.
The Elyte model features Callaway’s 10x Ai Smart Face, which has been enhanced to provide faster ball speeds, more optimal launch angle and more forgiveness across the face.
The Elyte is available in 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees with three degrees of adjustability.
Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond Driver Specs & Design
The Elyte series features the Triple Diamond model that is largely seen on tour with this driver those most workable of the options.
The TD model is once again suited to players with a consistent shot pattern and golfers with average-to-fast swing speeds, delivering a low-launch, low-spin and eye-catching distances off the tee.
The head on the AI Smoke Triple Diamond was slightly more compact than other models and that is the case once again in the Elyte TD as Callaway help to maximize swing speeds with this version.
The reshaped clubhead features a lower crown profile and heel section to help with the aerodynamic improvements for more speed.

Like the other models in the series, the crown has been made lighter by the use of the aerospace grade Thermoforged Carbon fiber.
The face is designed using Callaway’s Ai 10x Face technology for fast ball speeds even on off-center strikes, more distance and greater accuracy.
The new model features the same two weights on the sole of the club head, which in previous versions were 14g and 2g that were interchangeable to completely adjust the setup.
The 14g position in the rear position offered more forgiveness while the heavier weight in the front position delivered explosive ball speeds and minimum spin levels.
This version of the Elyte is available in 8 degrees, 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees with three degrees of adjustability (two degrees up and one degree down).
Callaway Elyte X Driver Specs & Design
The Elyte X model is the draw bias version of this series, replacing the AI Smoke Max D driver as the option designed to neutralise a natural fade or slice shot shape.
Very similar in design to the Elyte, this X version features just two of three weight ports in the rear with the option to position it in neutral or draw mode.

This is the most forgiving model with a high MOI and mid spin levels and a towering high launch for maximum distance.
Key to that is the use of the Thermograde Carbon crown, the reshaping of the crown and repositioning of the CG to increase both swing and ball speeds.
The Elyte X features the Ai 10x Face design, which provides multiple sweet spots across the face, and a new port behind the face.
The Elyte X is available in 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees with three degrees of adjustability.
Callaway Elyte Max Fast Driver Specs & Design
After the successful introduction of the AI Smoke Max Fast driver as a new addition into the 2024 release, Callaway have kept a lightweight option in the Elyte range.
The Max Fast is designed to help generate maximum ball speed for golfers who have slower than average swing speeds.
The key benefit from the Max Fast is that Callaway have saved as much weight as possible by using a lightweight shaft and grip in addition to savings in the clubhead too.
The crown has been reshaped both on top and in the heel section to improve aerodynamics and the use of new Thermograde Carbon fiber has also contributed to weight savings.

While the AI Smoke Max Fast was non-adjustable, the Elyte has been designed with all of the benefits of the rest of the range to give maximum setup flexibility.
There is adjustability from a hosel in this new release and two adjustable rear weights that can be positioned in neutral or draw settings just like the X model.
It is is sold in three loft options of 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees with three degrees of adjustability.

Callaway Elyte Mini Driver Specs & Design
The Callaway Elyte Mini driver joins the series and follows the trial of the Callaway AI Smoke Ti 340 mini driver in 2024.
The compact driver has a 340cc head, making it smaller than the standard drivers in the series but larger than typical fairway woods.
The Elyte Mini incorporates the same advanced technologies as the full-sized Elyte drivers, including the new Thermoforged Carbon crown.

Produced from aerospace-grade carbon fiber, the new crown design used across the Elyte series is optimized for maximum speed and ideal launch conditions.
It also features Callaway’s new Ai10x Face for exceptional ball speeds and tighter dispersion with the series said to be up to eight yards longer.
The Mini has three weight positions in the back of the clubhead that can be placed in neutral, fade and draw settings for customized ball flight.
The Elyte Mini is sold in 12 degrees with three degrees of adjustability (one degree down and two degrees up) via the OptiFit hosel.
Callaway Elyte Drivers Review: Are they any good?
Callaway have tweaked rather than ripped up the AI Smoke range and come up with four new versions in the Elyte range.
The key to the new models is a reshape crown across and board and the use of a new construction for the crown to make maximum weight savings.
The end results is more swing speed, particularly in the lightweight Max Fast model, increased ball speeds and more distance as a result. In fact, you could benefit up to eight yards off the tee.
The switch to fixed weights in the standard model is an interesting move that simplifies setup, while the Max Fast model, which had zero adjustability in the AI Smoke equivalent, now has a serious amount of setup options.
