The tournament, which replaces the QBE Classic, is being held for the first time in 2023 and brings PGA Tour and LPGA Tour players together in mixed teams.

The inaugural Grant Thornton Invitational takes place Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida, and is a team tournament played in mixed pairs.

The format is a pairs event with round one played as a Scramble format, round two an Modified Alternate Shot format and round three a Modified Four-Ball format.
