Callaway Great Big Bertha Driver Specs & Design
The new 2023 Great Big Bertha is the most complete version of the highest popular driver yet with Callaway add technology after technology to it.
The key design element has been to take away 30g of weighting compared to the Callaway Rogue ST range and make it easy to swing and likely to generate eye-watering ball speeds.
They have achieved it by using a lightweight Triaxial Carbon Crown with a Forged Carbon Sole and the combined has saved weight and increased MOI and forgiveness significantly.
The CG has been lowered too to help add more forgiveness, no matter how hard you swing this light weight driver.
Callaway have include the AI-developed Jailbreak Speed Frame in the Big Bertha for the first time to provide varying degrees of stability behind the face of the driver.
That helps generate impressive ball speeds, while the newly improved Flash Face Technology has been enhanced by more AI developments to provide more forgiveness than in other Callaway drivers.
The combination results increased ball speeds, less spin off the face and more total distance.
The new driver is available in three specs: 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees.
The Great Big Bertha also features an adjustable hosel, allowing for a three degree range of lofts in each driver.

Verdict: Is the Callaway Great Big Bertha driver any good?
Stunning looks, improved performance in distance, forgiveness and spin rates off the tee, the Big Bertha has plenty going for it.
It is jam packed with technology to help find more fairways and be longer off the tee, and is incredibly light to allow you to increase your club head speed without the need to swing harder or faster.
To achieve what this Big Bertha driver does comes at a price though. At $700, it will be out of the price range of a lot of golfers but quality does cost and that is what Callaway’s new driver is all about.
