Champions Retreat Golf Club near Augusta Acquired by Arcis Golf

Champions Retreat Golf Club near Augusta has become the latest acquisition by Arcis Golf as part of the owner and operator’s expanding golf empire.

The purchase of the 27-hole golf club, which is located around 15 miles from Augusta – home of the Masters, is Arcis Golf’s first venue in the state of Georgia.

The Arcis Golf property portfolio now closes in on 70 golf courses across 14 states in the United States.

They include other recent purchases for six Mickelson Golf Properties in Arizona, and The Golf Club at Twin Creeks and Gentle Creek Country Club in Texas.

Champions Retreat Golf Club

Champions Retreat is a private golf club located in Evans, around 15 miles from the United States’ most famous golf course Augusta.

It is home to 27-holes with three separate nine-hole loops designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player, and is the only course in the world with individually designed courses by the “Big Three.”

The Bluff (Nicklaus), Creek (Player) and Island (Palmer) courses are sculptured across 365 acres of Georgia pines and wetlands along the Savannah River. Champions Retreat

Champions Retreat hosts the first two rounds of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur every year in late March and early April.

Also at the facility are four-to-eight-bedroom cottages, the Grille House, Bluff Overlook and The Barn.

Arcis Golf

Arcis Golf is the second largest and fastest-growing owner-operator of private, resort, and daily fee clubs in the United States with almost 70 properties.

The Dallas-based company, which was founded in 2014, has now made 14 golf club acquisition in the last two years, including most recently Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, in June.
