Joaquin Niemann landed the second PGA Tour victory when winning the Genesis Invitational in February 2022. A look at Joaquin Niemann: What’s In The Bag.

Chilean star Niemann led from wire-to-wire at Riviera Country Club to hold off Collin Morikawa and Cameron Young by two shots.

Niemann opened up with back-to-back rounds of 63 to set a new 36-hole tournament record and he could even afford a level par 71 to finish and still claim the Genesis Invitational title by two shots.

The victory moved Niemann up to a career-high number 20 in the Official World Golf Rankings from 32 prior to heading to Riviera.

It was Niemann’s second PGA Tour success having claimed his first in the 2019 A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier when winning by six shots.

Niemann has also twice lost in PGA Tour play-offs, missing out in the 2021 Tournament of Champions and Rocket Mortgage Classic on extra holes.
