Ping G440 drivers series features four models launched for 2025 offering more speed, forgiveness and performance.
The new G440s replace the G430 drivers series with new versions of Max, LST (Low Spin Technology) and SFT (Straight Flight Technology) models boasting the lowest CG ever in a Ping driver.
In late 2025, a fourth model joined the series with the launch of the G440 K driver – a replacement for the ultra-high MOI G430 Max 10K.
They join the Callaway Elyte drivers, TaylorMade Qi35 drivers, Cobra DS-ADAPT drivers and Srixon ZXi drivers as new 2025 launches.
The G440 drivers, which will be joined by new fairways, hybrids and G440 irons, were immediately into winning form courtesy of Joaquin Niemann in the Saudi International when launched on tour.
Now officially launched, the design features have been revealed with a free hosel for low CG, weight savings from the Carbonfly wrap and a new hotter and thinner face.
Ping G440 Max Driver Review
The Ping G440 Max is the latest generation of the manufacturer’s standard driver, offering all round performance with distance and forgiveness in equal measure.
Ping have made one big change in the Max design by switching from a Titanium crown in the G430 to a carbon one for the first time in this mainstream model.
The 2025 Max features Ping’s Carbonfly wrap for the first time following the success of the technology in the like the G430 MAX 10K model and LST.

The Carbonfly wrap is just one the areas where Ping have managed to save weight, also doing so by including a new free hosel design with weight and CG moved lower and deeper.
Another interesting design move has been to lengthen the shaft on the Max driver with a 46-inch shaft as standard.
The latest edition features a new hotter and thinner face for increased ball speeds and more consistency from across the face to find more fairways than ever before.
There is also a 29g tungsten sliding weight at the back of the head for maximum adjustability in terms of setup, allowing this driver to be adapted to suit a fade, draw or neutral shot preference.
The Max driver is available in 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees with eight separate hosel adjustments once again for plus or minus 1.5 degrees.
Also released is the Max HL, a high launch model for slower swing speed that generates additional speed and a towering ball flight.
Ping G440 LST Driver Review
The G440 LST is the Low Spin Technology version of this driver and it continues to be part of the 2025 Ping family.
After Ping successfully switched to the Carbonfly wrap design in this low-spinning driver in the G430 series, the weight saving technology has been retained in the last LST model.
The Carbonfly technology is made from an eight-layer, one-piece composition, wraps the heel and toe to the skirt and helps make weight savings and maximise clubhead speed.

The weight savings have helped lower the CG, as has the new free hosel design with the end result being more distance and forgiveness from the G440.
A new hotter, thinner face is included in the design with Ping developed an improved sweet spot to maximum distance off the tee, while the shaft has also been lengthened to 46 inches.
The LST has a slightly more compact clubhead shape than the Max, but does have the same tungsten sliding weight that can be set to neutral, draw or fade in this version for maximum setup options.
The LST driver is available in 9 degrees or 10.5 degrees with eight separate hosel adjustment options for up to three degrees of adjustment.
Ping G440 SFT Driver Review
The Straight Flight Technology (SFT) option continues to be part of the 2025 series having been popular since joining the G410 drivers, G425 drivers and G430 drivers families.
Like the Max version of the G440 series, the SFT driver now has a Carbonfly wrap having previously had a Titanium crown in the G430.
The G440 SFT features a more rounded club head that is most like the Max model, but the moveable 23-gram tungsten weight can only be set to draw or draw+ positions.

That’s because this model is the draw-biased version that promotes a straighter ball flight and helps eliminate a distance-sapping fade or slice.
The SFT produces increased clubhead and ball speeds thanks to the new 46-inch shaft and courtesy of weight savings made from the latest Carbonfly wrap and free hosel design.
The savings have allowed Ping to come up with their lowest CG ever and increase forgiveness, while the new hotter and thinner face delivers some of the fastest ball speeds the manufacturer has seen.
The SFT has been expanded to now be available in 9 degrees and 10.5 degrees loft options and has eight separate hosel adjustment options for up to 3 degrees of adjustability.
There is a new HL (high launch) version of the SFT for slower swing speeds, offering golfers a towering trajectory and more distance.
Ping G440 K Driver Review
The G440 K is a latecomer to the series of drivers but is expected to offer maximum stability and forgiveness to accompany the existing three models.
The Ping G430 Max 10K was also introduced late and as the most forgiving option in the previous generation of drivers, and the G440 K is set to replace it.
The G440 K aligns with Ping’s trend of producing drivers geared toward maximum forgiveness and precision, and is likely to be aimed at players who want stability and consistent ball flight conditions.

What we do know from the Conforming List is that it incorporates Dual CarbonFly technology, which contributes to weight reduction and enhances aerodynamics like the other models in the series.
The driver also features a forged face with Spinsistency technology aimed at maintaining consistent spin rates across the face.
For the first time on an ultra-high MOI Ping model, the G440 K driver includes a movable rear draw-fade bias adjustment weight which is similar to other G440 models.
As well as that sliding tungsten weight positioned at the back of the head for high MOI and stability, the clubhead also appears to have a more massive trailing edge likely to help increase MOI.
The G440 K driver is available in loft options of 7.5 degrees – something that wasn’t available in the G430 range, 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees. It has 1.5 degrees of adjustability in each direction available.
Ping G440 Drivers Review: Are the new versions any good?
Ping haven’t needed to rip up the design of their G series drivers for quite some time and that remains the case with the new G440s.
The big new addition is that the G440 Max and G440 SFT models feature the ground-breaking Carbonfly wrap that has been successful in the LST previously.
The move helps weight savings along with the new hosel design and helps add more consistency and ball speed, and is one of the biggest changes in the series. In fact, this is the lowest CG Ping have managed to achieve.
The new face design is also an interesting addition with the switch to a new height producing a faster overall ball speed across all three models.
The addition of a new ultra-high MOI version following the release of the G440 K was another smart move, offering all the benefits of forgiveness but with shot shaping capabilities too.
