Wilson Staff Model CB Irons 2024 have been re-launched with the popular cavity back model given a makeover and upgraded. What improvements have been made?
Launched along with the Wilson Staff 2024 Model irons and new Staff Model balls, the CBs bring a new level of forgiveness in the latest version of the clubs.
Still a premium forged design that are aimed at skilled golfers, the cavity backs have a similar design to the Model but provide more forgiveness – particularly at the top end of the bag.
A new toe weighting design helps improve ball striking and eliminate hooks, but does the CB deliver? And do they provide a mixed setup option with the Staff Model? We tested them to find out.

Wilson Staff Model CB Irons Specs & Design
The Wilson Staff CB irons are crafted from Forged 8620 carbon steel, a material renowned for its stability and durability.
The construction, which is also used in the Staff Model, not only enhances the club’s feel but also ensures consistent performance over time.
The difference between the CB irons vs Staff Model is that this version has a cavity back design and altered weighting for more forgiveness than the sister model.
The key innovation in these irons is the precise toe weighting which has been developed to effectively eliminate the common low left shot.
By helping to keep the club face open through impact, the toe weighting maximizes forgiveness and ensures ultimate control in every shot to eek out every yard of distance.
The precision-milled grooves on the clubface are a standout feature, offering increased spin and stopping power, vital for players who demand control and precision in their shots.
The Wilson CB irons also feature the Fluid Feel Hosel CB, a refined version of the classic Wilson Dyna-Powered irons hosel to redistribute weight towards the toe and further enhance performance
The irons will be available in 4-iron (23 degrees) to pitching wedge (46 degrees).

Wilson Staff Model CB 2024 Irons Review: Are the new blades any good?
Wilson have managed to find more consistency in the forged CB model thanks to revised weighting technology through the bag.
Providing the same levels of performance as the Staff Model, the cavity backs have noticeable improvement in shot consistency and control and we really appreciated the added forgiveness from the CBs.
In testing, we found that the irons helped us get better contact across the face, even on off-center strikes, and the spin, distance and stopping power more than stood up to other options on the market.
The ability to shape shots and get immediate feedback makes these irons a great option for low-handicap and elite golfers, while the forgiveness makes them suitable for mid-handicappers too.
