The Staff Model X debuts for the first time in 2024 after being released alongside the latest edition of the popular Wilson Staff Model ball – giving two options to cater for more golfers.

The Wilson Staff Model ball is a medium construction and the fellow four-layer X model joins it, offering a slightly firmer option and following a theme well trodden by the likes of Titleist, TaylorMade, Srixon and Callaway.

The Staff Model X has been introduced to offer lower-handicap and elite level players a firmer option to compared to the well-established Staff Model ball.

The new X version is a four-piece construction with a firmer compression of 104 (compared to the 94 of the medium Staff Model ball).

It is designed to deliver a high launch, workability off the tee and into greens and deliver the long distances that golfers crave.

The three layers of the firm V-Cor Advanced core are joined by a thin urethane outer cover which provides plenty of short game spin and control to go pin-seeking.

The cover is designed with Wilson’s 3SIX2 technology of 362 dimples for an all-round aerodynamic package.

The Wilson Staff Model has been a largely underrated ball in the premium sector and is now has a sister model following the launch of the first ever X version.
