Joaquin Niemann: What’s In The Bag

Joaquin Niemann What's In The Bag

Joaquin Niemann made it two wins in three events in 2024 when winning the LIV Golf Jeddah title in March. A look at Joaquin Niemann: What’s In The Bag.

Niemann won the opening event of the season in February as he shot a round of 59 at El Camaleon Club in the LIV Golf Mayakoba before beating Sergio Garcia in play-off in Mexico.

Niemann continued his hot form in the LIV Golf Jeddah tournament as he dominated in Saudi Arabia, claiming a four-shot victory over Louis Oosthuizen.

It was Chilean Niemann’s third win in the space of four months.

He ended a 22-month drought when landing the title at the Australian Open in December 2023, winning a play-off at the second extra hole after both he and Rikuya Hoshino had finished on 14-under at The Australian Golf Club.

Niemann’s first PGA Tour win came in 2019 in the A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier, which he won by six shots.

In the 2022 Genesis Invitational, Niemann led from wire-to-wire at Riviera Country Club for a two-shot victory having opened up with back-to-back rounds of 63 to set a new 36-hole tournament record.

Niemann has also twice lost in PGA Tour play-offs, missing out in the 2021 Tournament of Champions and Rocket Mortgage Classic on extra holes.

In 2022, Niemann made the switch to LIV Golf.
