Amy Yang What's In The Bag

Amy Yang secured her first major title when winning the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June 2024. A look at Amy Yang: What’s In The Bag.

South Korean Yang was winning for the first time in 2024 and did it in style, recording a three-shot victory in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

Yang finished on seven-under par for the week at Sahalee Country Club and it was three better than nearest challenges Lilia Vu, Jin-young Ko and Miyu Yamashita.

Yang now has 10 wins as a professional and six on the LPGA Tour.

Yang had ended 2023 on a high when taking the title at the LPGA’s season-ending CME Group Tour Championship when finishing three shots clear of Nasa Hataoka and Alison Lee.

Yang’s other four LPGA victories all came in Asia courtesy of wins in the 2013 LPGA KEB-HanaBank Championship and the 2015, 2017 and 2019 Honda LPGA Thailand.

She is also a three-time Ladies European Tour winner having won the 2006 ANZ Ladies Masters as an amateur and the Ladies German Open and Scandinavian TPC hosted by Annika in 2008.

Yang also won the 2011 KB Star Championship on the Korean LPGA Tour.

Prior to the win in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Yang was ranked 25th in the Women’s World Rankings.
