A week after a play-off defeat on the Epson Tour, 19-year-old Wannasaen came through Monday qualifying before securing her maiden LPGA Tour title with a dominant performance in the Portland Classic.

A stunning tournament record total of 26-under, including a nine-under par closing round, at Columbia Edgewater earned Wannasaen a four-shot victory over Xiyu Lin.

Wannasaen shot to prominence in 2022 when winning six events in her homeland of Thailand and taking the title at the Trust Golf Links Series on the LET Access Series.

Prior to victory in the Portland Classic, Wannasaen was ranked 367th in World Rolex Rankings.
