Homa was claiming his maiden DP World Tour title as he won by four shots from Nicolai Hojgaard in the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa.

The America finished on 19-under at the Gary Player Course at Sun City following a final round of six-under par.

It was Homa’s second title of 2023 having also won the Farmers Insurance Open in January for his sixth PGA Tour title.

Homa claimed the first of his six PGA Tour wins with a breakthrough victory in the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship.

He subsequently won twice in 2021 in the Genesis Invitational and Fortinet Championship.

Homa also claimed two wins in 2022, the first in May when winning the Wells Fargo Championship for a second time and then when defending his crown at the Fortinet Championship.

Homa won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour before getting his PGA Tour card. He won the 2014 BMW Charity Pro-Am and the 2016 Rust-Oleum Championship.

Before the win in South Africa, Homa was ranked eighth in the Official World Golf Rankings.
