Nasa Hataoka ended a three-and-a-half year drought when winning the Toto Japan Classic in November 2025. A look at Nasa Hataoka: What’s In The Bag.

Hataoka hadn’t tasted success since April 2022 when dominating the LA Open, but finally returned to the winners’ circle with victory on home soil in the 2025 Toto Japan Classic.

The Japanese star finished on 15-under par at Seta Golf Course before defeating compatriot Yuna Araki in a play-off to take the Toto Japan Classic for the second time.

It was Hataoka’s 12th career win and her seventh LPGA success, following victories in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship in 2018 and 2021, Toto Japan Classic in 2018 and 2025, Kia Classic in 2019, Marathon Classic in 2021 and LA Open in 2022.

Hataoka has also won seven times on the LPGA Tour of Japan, two of them the co-sanctioned Toto Japan Classic in 2018 and 2025.

She has also triumphed in her home events at the Japan Women’s Open Golf Championship in 2016, 2017 and 2019, the Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Women’s Open Golf Tournament in 2017 and the Japan LPGA Championship Konica Minolta Cup in 2019.
