Nico Echavarria: What’s In The Bag

Nico Echavarria What's In The Bag

Nico Echavarria secured his third PGA Tour victory when winning the Cognizant Classic in March 2026. A look at Nico Echavarria: What’s In The Bag.

Echavarria hadn’t won since October 2024 but was the beneficiary of a Shane Lowry collapse to win the 2026 Cognizant Classic at PGA National.

The Colombian trailed Lowry by three shots, only for the Irishman to double bogey 16 and 16 and ultimately hand Echavarria a two-shot victory over himself, Austin Smotherman and Taylor Moore.

In March 2023, with the main PGA Tour field playing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, Echavarria took advantage of the lesser field in Puerto Rico to land a first title.

Nineteen months after claiming his maiden PGA Tour victory in the Puerto Rico Open, Echavarria claimed his biggest career success in Japan with victory in the 2024 ZOZO Championship.

Having turned professional in 2017, the Colombian won titles at the San Luis Championship and Sao Paulo Golf Club Championship in 2018 on the Latinoamerica Tour.
