Sergio Garcia claimed his second LIV Golf victory when winning in Hong Kong in March 2025. A look at Sergio Garcia: What’s In The Bag.
Garcia ended almost four years without victory when winning the LIV Golf Andalucia in July 2024 and added a second victory on the tour in the 2025 LIV Golf Hong Kong.
The Spaniard needed an extra two holes of a play-off to win the LIV Golf Andalucia at Valderrama, but was much more comprehensive in Hong Kong, finishing on 18-under and three clear of Dean Burmester.
Garcia, who now has mixed bag of clubs after splitting with Callaway, is now a 38-time winner as a professional including his only major in the 2017 Masters at Augusta.
That is one of 11 PGA Tour wins that also include the Colonial and Buick Classic in 2001, Mercedes Championships in 2002, Byron Nelson and Buick Classic in 2004, Booz Allen Classic in 2005, The Players Championship in 2008, Wyndham Championship in 2012, Byron Nelson in 2016 and Sanderson Farms Championship in 2020.
Garcia has also won 15 times on the DP World Tour in the 1999 Irish Open and German Masters, 2001 Trophee Lancome, 2002 Open de Espana, 2004 Mallorca Classic, 2005 European Masters, 2008 Castello Masters and HSBC Champions, 2011 Castello Masters and Andalucía Masters, 2014 Qatar Masters, 2017 Dubai Desert Classic and Andalucia Valderrama Masters, 2018 Andalucía Valderrama Masters and 2019 KLM Open.
The Spaniard has had further success on the Japan Golf Tour in the 2018 SMBC Singapore Open and Asian Golf Tour in the 2002 Korea Open, 2012 Johor Open, 2013 Thailand Golf Championship and 2015 Ho Tram Open.
Other successes came in the 1997 Open de Cataluna when still an amateur, 2001 and 2023 Nedbank Golf Challenge, 2002 Telus World Skins Game and 2010 Gary Player Invitational.
In addition, Garcia is a stalwart of the European Ryder Cup team. He won in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2012, 2014 and 2018 and was also on the losing side in 1999, 2008, 2016 and 2021.
