TaylorMade P790 Irons Design & Features

The TaylorMade P790 Irons have several features that make them unique and very appealing to many different levels of players.

With the second generation of the forged P790 iron set, TaylorMade has unveiled its lightest iron yet.

The 8620 Carbon Steel body and the 4140 steel L-face partner combine to create a very light golf club with an excellent feel.

Part of the latest release is the new SpeedFoam Air technology, which is 69% lighter than the previous version and has a thinner iron shell.

With the weight savings from the original P790 design, TaylorMade have been able to add a 31g tungsten adjustable weight to lower the club’s centre of gravity.

This gives golfers better contact on imperfect swings, more forgiveness across the face and more stability of the club face overall.

The P790s also feature the TaylorMade Thru-Slot Speed Pocket in the longer irons to provide increased face flexibility and maintaining ball speed and distance on low face strikes.
