Viktor Hovland: What’s In The Bag
What is in Viktor Hovland's bag?
Viktor Hovland landed the seventh victory of his career when winning Hero World Challenge in December 2022. A look at Viktor Hovland: What’s In The Bag.
The Norwegian was successfully defending the Hero World Challenge title he won in 2021 as he landed the final event of the year for the second year running.
In 2021, Hovland won by one shot from Scottie Scheffler at Albany Golf Club. This time, it was a two shot victory over the same rival in the Bahamas.
It marked a winning end to 2022, just how Hovland had started the year when winning for the third time in five starts with victory in the Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour.
He recorded a dominant victory in the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba in November 2021 to go back-to-back in the PGA Tour event at El Camaleon Golf Club in Playa Del Carmen in Mexico.
Hovland made it wins in successive starts in the Tiger Woods-hosted Hero World Challenge in December 2021 before winning the Dubai Desert Classic in January 2022 for his third victory in five starts.
Already a winner on the PGA Tour following victories in the Puerto Rico Open and Mayakoba Classic in 2020, Hovland also became the first Norwegian winner on the European Tour when he lifted the BMW International Open title in 2021.
In 2022, Hovland signed a multi-year agreement to stay with Ping and his latest win moved up back into the top 10 in the Official World Golf Rankings in ninth.
