Viktor Hovland landed the sixth victory of his career when winning Dubai Desert Classic. A look at Viktor Hovland: What’s In The Bag.

Hovland was winning for the third time in his last five starts as he claimed the biggest success of his career with victory in a play-off in the Rolex Series event of the DP World Tour.

The Norwegian moved up to number three in the Official World Golf Rankings after finishing with birdie-eagle-birdie at Emirates Golf Club. Hovland then beat Richard Bland in the play-off.

Already a winner on the PGA Tour following victories in the Puerto Rico Open and Mayakoba Classic in 2020, Hovland created history as the first Norwegian winner on the European Tour earlier this year.

Hovland won the BMW International Open last year in Germany on what was only his 17th start on the European Tour.

He made it three PGA Tour wins with a dominant victory in the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba in November 2021 to go back-to-back in the event at El Camaleon Golf Club in Playa Del Carmen in Mexico.

Hovland made it wins in successive starts when his 18-under total was enough to claim a one-shot victory over Scottie Scheffler in the Tiger Woods-hosted Hero World Challenge in December 2021.

In 2022, Hovland signed a multi-year agreement to stay with Ping.
