XXIO 13 Driver Review

The XXIO 13 driver is new for 2024 with an upgraded version of the ultra light model launched. Does it add more distance to the game of slow swing speed golfers?

XXIO have upgraded the design from the XXIO 12 driver and introduced new versions of the ActivWing, Rebound Frame, Flat Face Cup and BiFlex Face technologies.

They have maintained the notion of keeping the new driver as light as possible to help golfers of with swing speeds under 90mph to extract maximum distance, improved accuracy and find more fairways.

Launched along with fairway woods, hybrids, irons and a ladies range, the 13 model is the most yet from XXIO. How does it perform and is it an improvement on the 12?

XXIO have worked on enhancing the overall performance of their premium driver, which continues to target golfers with a swing speed of 90 mph or under.

One of the key design tweaks has been introducing a new two-stage airfoil design for improved aerodynamics from the ActivWing technology.

This helps to deliver the clubhead square at improve to improve ball speed and find the sweet spot with greater consistency.

A new technology is located in the corners of the face on the toe and heel side with BiFlex Face designed to add stiffness to the edge and provide a solid structure.

The driver also features improved Rebound Frame technology with four alternating layers of stiff and flexible zones behind the face for maximum energy transfer and ball speed.

Flat Cup Face technology is the third element of the face with XXIO making a larger, but thinner center area of the the Super-TIX 51AF Titanium to ensure ball speeds and distance are maintained on every swing.

The six segment Bulge and Roll technology is also retain in order to maximum speed regardless of whether the strike is high, low, toe or heel.

The XXIO 13 driver now has Weight Plus incorporated with additional mass added under the grip at the butt-end of the shaft to provide the perfect balance and deliver the club correctly through the downswing.

XXIO 13 Driver Review: Is it any good?

The XXIO 12 driver was well received and a great lightweight option for golfers in need of assistance to add distance from the tee without swinging harder or faster.

The new 13 adds to that with a refined design improvement the overall performance, added consistency and forgiveness to the promise of distance.

XXIO have managed to do that without adding weight, keeping this ultralight and enhancing the aerodynamics to generate impressive clubhead speeds.

The only downsides to the latest model is the lack of adjustability and the price tag too.
