In what was his preparation for the 2025 Ryder Cup, Scheffler edged American team-mate Ben Griffin by a shot to win the 2025 Procore Championship at Silverado Resort.
Just three weeks earlier, Scheffler came from four shots behind to beat Robert MacIntyre by two shots to win the 2025 BMW Championship and land five-plus victories in a season for the second year running.
The world number one had already triumphed in the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, at The Memorial Tournament and the Open Championship.
The American now has 19 PGA Tour victories to his name including four majors in the 2022 and 2024 Masters, the 2025 PGA Championship and the 2025 Open Championship.
Scheffler was dominant in 2024, winning nine times including in the 2024 Masters, Arnold Palmer Invitational, The Players Championship, RCB Heritage, the Memorial Tournament and Travelers Championship.
He also won Olympic gold in Paris at Le Golf National in Paris and then took the titles at the Tour Championship to be crowned FedEx Cup champion for 2024 and Hero World Challenge for the second year running.
The American emerged as a star when won four times in three months in 2022 and was also named 2022 PGA Tour Player of the Year. He also won three times in 2023 to become world number one.
Scheffler won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019 before graduating to the PGA Tour. He was also part of the United States’ winning team in the 2021 Ryder Cup and 2022 and 2024 Presidents Cup, and the losing side in the 2023 Ryder Cup.
In 2024, Scheffler signed an extension to his equipment deal with TaylorMade.
