Scheffler won six times in 2025 and wasted now time in adding to his CV with a clear-cut four shot victory in the 2026 The American Express in California.
The world number one was a dominant force as his 27-under par total defeated Jason Day, Ryan Gerard, Matt McCarty and Andrew Putnam by four shots for what was his 20th career victory.
The world number one now has 20 PGA Tour victories to his name including four majors in the 2022 and 2024 Masters, the 2025 PGA Championship and the 2025 Open Championship.
He has also won the WM Phoenix Open (2022 & 2023), Arnold Palmer Invitational (2023 & 2024), WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play (2022), The Players Championship (2023 & 2024), RBC Heritage (2024), Memorial Tournament (2024 & 2025), Travelers Championship (2024) and Tour Championship (2024).
Further wins have come in the CJ Cup Byron Nelson (2025), BMW Championship (2025) and Procore Championship (2025).
Scheffler also won 2024 Olympic gold in Paris at Le Golf National in Paris, the Hero World Challenge in 2023 and 2024 and twice on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019 before graduating to the PGA Tour.
Scheffler was also part of the United States’ winning team in the 2021 Ryder Cup and 2022 and 2024 Presidents Cup, and the losing side in the 2023 Ryder Cup and 2025 Ryder Cup.
The American was also named 2022 PGA Tour Player of the Year and in 2024 Scheffler signed an extension to his equipment deal with TaylorMade.
