“Ronni” Yin hadn’t won since October 2024 but ended a near two-year drought with a stylish victory in the FM Championship.
The Chinese star returned to winning ways as she finished on 14-under in the LPGA event, two clear of Hyo-Joo Kim at TPC Boston.
In April 2023, Yin became just the second Chinese player to win on the LPGA Tour when winning the DIO Implant LA Open and then claimed her first major in the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA.
In 2024, she teamed up with Jeeno Thitikul to win the pairs tournament the 2024 Dow Championship before winning individually in the Buick LPGA Shanghai and LPGA Maybank Championship.
Yin won nine times as an amateur in the junior ranks before turning professional in 2020. She earned her place on the LPGA for 2022 when finishing fourth in LPGA Q-Series.
