It was Yin’s second win of the month after she secured a memorable victory on home soil in China, romping to a six-shot victory over Sei-young Kim and Mao Saigo in the Buick LPGA Shanghai.
Yin then claimed a one-shot victory over Atthaya Thitikul when triumping in the LPGA Maybank Championship in Malaysia.
“Ronni” now has three wins in 2024 after teaming up with fellow former world number one in the Rolex Rankings Thitikul to win the pairs tournament the 2024 Dow Championship on the LPGA Tour.
In April 2023, Yin became just the second Chinese player to win on the LPGA Tour when landing the title at the DIO Implant LA Open, joining the now-retired Shanshan Feng.
She underlined her growing reputation with a measured performance at Baltusrol Golf Club to win her first major in the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA with a one-shot victory over Yuka Saso in New Jersey.
Yin Ruoning won nine times as an amateur in the junior ranks before turning professional in 2020.
She won the China LPGA Tour Qualifying Tournament to earn her place on the China LPGA Tour, and then won three titles in a row in her first events.
Yin was victorious at the Zhuhai Guowei Centre Plaza Hollywood Mansion Challenge, Moutai Golf Liquor Zhuhai Golden Gulf Challenge and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Orient Masters.
She earned her place on the LPGA for 2022 when finishing fourth in LPGA Q-Series.
